Vehicle Communication Interfaces Overview:

This is a brief overview of some Vehicle Communication Interfaces, we developed with and for our customers. 

 

  CAT

CAT stands for CAN Analyzer Tool and is a RS232 to CAN PC based port adapter to monitor and analyze the CAN bus data on a vehicle.
The tool allows the user to create and change configurations.
In online mode the CAT acquires, stores & shows data coming from the CAN bus.
The tool allows transmitting certain frames with the CAT and offers diagnostic services to interpret frames.
Used within the GM Service organization.

Special design for PCs with PCI slots.
The PCI- IntelliCAN is designed for real-time data acquisition.
Processes by using a fast 16-bit microcontroller, 8 kB DPRAM, 512 kB SRAM and 128 kB Flash memory.
Hardware configuration via PCI software services, plug & play.
DPRAM interface for host interfacing & SRAM for application execution.
Direct access to analog and digital inputs and outputs.
Includes PC Software PcCANControl that enables the tracing activities or selected messages on the network.
